Steer Strategic Initiatives
Steer strategic initiatives of the Transportation Business Coalition and The Connected Region.
The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber is launching Next Gen, a group comprised of emerging community and business leaders who have a passion for transforming the Cincinnati region’s transportation system. The group will help lead the work of The Connected Region, established by the Cincinnati Chamber in 2016, which is focused on developing a transportation system that connects people to jobs, education, health care, and all that our region has to offer. Next Gen members will also provide guidance to the Cincinnati Chamber’s transportation and policy team and help steer strategic initiatives of the Transportation Business Coalition and The Connected Region.
Next Gen will consist of 12-15 community and business leaders, generally under the age of 40, who have a passion for transportation. To get involved, individuals will need to complete an application by July 9, 2021. A selection committee will review the applications to determine the participants. The selected individuals will serve a two-year term, meeting four times per year. Members of Next Gen will gain a unique and rare opportunity to impact critical transportation initiatives in our region through sustainable, sensible, and collaborative solutions.
“From day one we’ve been guided by some of the City’s leading business voices as we’ve shaped our transportation work. As we look toward building a Future City, we are creating a new space for our region’s next generation leaders to engage and lead this work.”
“You don’t have to work in the transportation industry to shape the future of mobility in our region. How our region is connected impacts every single person who lives here, and we’re eager to elevate passionate, talented people to drive transportation planning and decision making.”
Developing a transportation system that connects people to jobs, education, health care and all that our region has to offer.
At the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, we’ve spent the last five years engaging with our community, studying the data, and traveling to cities across the country to understand what it will take to create a transportation system that helps businesses grow, attracts talent to our region, and provides people with access to opportunity.
